Visit ancient Midian near the town of Al Bada, including Jethro's Caves (Magha'ir Shu'aub in Arabic) and Zipporah's Well. When Moses fled Egypt, he came to Midian and met his wife Zipporah at this well. While the Nabateans carved intricate tomb facades at this site, it is widely recognized as the location of ancient Midian and is likely where Moses stayed with Jethro. You can see Mount Sinai in the distance and imagine Moses taking his flock there when he had the burning bush experience. A modern museum on-site offers the chance to learn even more about the rich history of Midian.
Explore Rephadim, the location where ancient Israel stopped before arriving at the wilderness of Sinai. In Exodus, Repahdim is location of the battlefield between Israel and the Amalekites. Aaron and Hur helped Moses keep his staff raised over his head, and Israel defeated Amalek. Here Moses also Split the Rock of Horeb and provided water to Israel. On your tour you will see the Split Rock of Moses and be able to climb up the hill to its base if desired. Your guide will also take you to one of the nearby plains that may have been the battlefield site between Israel and Amalek.
One of the most significant miracles in the entire Bible is the splitting of the Red Sea (Yam Suph). By recognizing Jabal Maqla in NW Saudi Arabia as the Real Mount Sinai, the Sea of Aqaba becomes the obvious choice as the body of water Moses split. Most have pointed to the beaches of Nuweiba on the Egypt side of the Sea of Aqaba as the location where Israel began the crossing. It's one of the only places along the Sea where the underwater topography is level enough for a crossing. You can see the beaches surrounded by mountains from the Saudi side. Enjoy a sunset over the Sea and perhaps a refreshing swim.

Experience the Real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia! Day 2 is a full day at the base of the Real Mount Sinai.
Mount Sinai is the mountain where God called to Moses in a burning bush, revealed his Name and directed him to lead Israel out of slavery in Egypt. After the Exodus, it was the mountain where God gave the 10 commandments and where the 70 Elders met with God. In the plains before the mountain where Israel camped and built the Tabernacle..
At the foot of the mountain, explore the Moses Altar, referenced in Exodus 24, and view the possible remnants of the 12 pillars erected by Moses. Marvel at ancient petroglyphs illustrating the Golden Calf incident and the Golden Calf Altar itself, vivid testaments to biblical history. Nearby is an ancient Graveyard that some think may be related to the 3000 Israelites that perished after the Golden Calf incident.
Overnight in hotel in Haq'l or Tabuk.
