Your group arrives at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, where a local tour operator will be waiting to greet you. Most flights typically arrive in the afternoon. From there, the group will travel to Netanya for the first night of the tour.
The day begins with a tour of Caesarea Maritima, the Roman port city built by Herod the Great and where the Apostle Paul was imprisoned before his journey to Rome. From here, the group will ascend Mount Carmel, the site where Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. In the afternoon, the tour continues to Nazareth, the town where Jesus grew up and site of Church of the Annunciation. Accommodations in Tiberias.
Begin the second day in Galilee at Mt. Arbel, which has stunning views of the Sea of Galilee and is the possible location for the selection of the 12 Apostles. Next, we explore the archaeological sites of Chorazim, Magdala, and Capernaum, the residence of Peter, Andrew, James, and John. In Capernaum, you can view the remains of a synagogue that Jesus attended. The tour also goes to Mt. Beatitudes, the traditional site where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. The day concludes with a scenic boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Accommodations in Tiberias.
The tour continues in the northern most portion of Galilee region, starting at Tel Dan, the inheritance of one of the ancient tribes of Israel. It continues to the beautiful spring of Banias near Caesarea Philippi and the majestic Mount Hermon, the possible location of the Mount of Transfiguration. The day concludes at Mt. Bental in the Golan heights and Kfar Haruv lookout with panoramic views of the Sea of Galilee and the surrounding hills. Accommodations are in Tiberias.
Depart Tiberias and the Galilee region and travel down to Jordan Valley to Qasr El Yahud, the likely location where John the Baptist preached and where Jesus was baptized. Next visit Ein Gedi near the Dead Sea, the oasis and spring where David hid when pursued by King Saul. Continue to nearby Qumran, the ancient ruins of the Essene community where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Conclude the day with a swim in the Dead Sea and a tour of the ancient city of Jericho. Accommodations in Jerusalem.
Begin at the Mount of Olives, the site of the Olivet Discourse, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the Old City. Descend to the Garden of Gethsemane, with ancient Olive trees, where Jesus prayed before his arrest and crucifixion. Continue to the City of David, the archeological center of ancient Jerusalem and explore the Hezekiah Tunnel, a 2700 year old waterway carved beneath the city. Conclude at Mount Zion, home to the Tomb of King David, the Cenacle (site of the Last Supper), and the Dormition Abbey. Accommodations in Jerusalem.
Start at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, a revered location for Jews, Christians, and Muslims, with its iconic Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Proceed to the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus is said to have performed a healing miracle, and explore its ancient ruins. Walk the Via Dolorosa, tracing the path of Jesus’ crucifixion through the Old City’s bustling streets, pausing at the Stations of the Cross and ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Garden Tomb, a serene site believed by some to be the location of Jesus’ burial and resurrection. Reflect at the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site, where prayers resonate against ancient stones. End the day at the Friends of Zion Heritage Center. Accommodations in Jerusalem.
Begin at Yad VaShem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem, where poignant exhibits and memorials honor the victims of the Holocaust. Next, explore Herodion, King Herod’s remarkable palace-fortress, with its ancient ruins and breathtaking views of the Judean Desert. Continue to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Christ and the City of David where you can visit the Church of the Nativity. Conclude the day in the Ellah Valley, the historic site of David’s victory over Goliath, offering serene landscapes and a glimpse into biblical history. Accommodations in Jerusalem.
Begin at Mount Gerizim, a sacred site for the Samaritan community, offering panoramic views and insights into their ancient traditions. Next, visit the Tabernacle Model in Shiloh, a life-sized replica of the biblical Tabernacle, bringing the stories of the Israelites to life. Continue to the ruins of Ancient Shiloh, where the Ark of the Covenant once resided, and wander through archaeological ruins steeped in biblical history. Journey to Bethel, a site of profound spiritual importance linked to the patriarchs Abraham and Jacob. Conclude your day at Psagot Winery, nestled in the Judean Hills, where you can savor award-winning wines and learn about modern Israeli viticulture while enjoying stunning vineyard vistas. This tour blends ancient heritage with modern delights for an unforgettable experience. Accommodations in Jerusalem.
Begin Day 10 exploring the ancient wonders of Hebron, including the sacred Machpela Cave, revered as the burial site of the Patriarchs. Wander along the historic Way of the Patriarchs, marvel at the impressive Biyar Aqueduct, and uncover the grandeur of Herodion, a fortress-palace with breathtaking views. Accommodations in Jerusalem.
